It's a disgrace the influence media moguls have upon our fine game.

Birthday, old, sun got in his eyes, over the hill, and a white Bell ... sorry, ball

170-1, 15-3. Complacency was punished. The Aussies deserved what they got. Overall they are much better than England, but the Poms are not girl scouts from Whoollaboolla.

Still, well played England for actually winning a trophy this winter.
My records suggest that out of the two going this winter, it seems to be 1-1. Therefore a drawn season down under doesn't seem to be that bad a result(!)

From now on, Frances may never go and see another match and Mark may never take out a subscription to Sky Sports - ever!!

Indeed. Highlights only of those two - too busy playing bridge/sleeping to watch them (although there was a Sunday morning vote from my husband to watch teletext for a while)

Not a valid excuse. What a luxury! You can sleep when you get old. Meanwhile, enjoy life, and is there anything more enjoyable than cricket?
Cricket is life, the rest (sleep included) is mere details!

I think what the latest results show is that even the best sides which appear to have massive strength in depth are still dependent on a few superstar players if they want to win consistently.

With Symonds definitely out and Lee doubtful, after this match Ponting may need to beat SA to go through

For those that missed the announcement, Scotland's World Cup squad is:

When did Warwickshire move North of the border?
p.s. glad I wasn't watching New Zealand this morning - second record-breaking innings running!

Seems kosher to me ... just plying his trade in the money-rich South as you can see from the record of his only first class game at Warwickshire.
