Where is the logic for leading a TRUMP...on THIS auction...from J862?

Oh yeah, you're right. West is a stinking GIBBO robot, so as usual there is of COURSE absolutely NO logic.

Our result was fine, but why is North opening that hand? He has only 10 HCP, and he can "always" show the hand later, and MORE accurately. I realize that in the modern world there are pairs, including good ones, that routinely open these types of hands in their system and style...but GIBBO is SUPPOSED TO BE a more "traditional" system. In fact, the definition of the ID opener claims that it shows "11-21 HCP", so - as is not infrequently the case, the GIB definition is not only pathetic and inaccurate, but it is also dishonest. If HUMANS explained their bids the same way, they would be subject to penalties for their dishonest explanations.

Just one MORE reason that GIB/GIBBO is disgusting, repulsive, and beneath contempt. GIB/GIBBO is the worst.

Watch in awe as two of the biggest I.D.I.O.T.S. the world has ever seen showcase their extraordinary ignorance by insanely bidding all the way to 5D.

Yes, these two repulsive dirtbags were GIBBO robots. How did you ever guess?

We scored 64.3 % on this board for collecting 500 against 5D doubled. Obviously, we did better than we would have if we bid 5S making six, but equally obviously we did worse than if we had bid six spades making six.

The reason I am posting the hand, however, is that it find it amazing that North failed to bid 5S either over West's 5D or over my double of 5D.

BTW, as usual I find all the GIB definitions both silly and pathetic.

The GIBBO imbecile in the North bids 2NT with a spade "stopper" (in the suit that West bid!) of Q8 doubleton. If GIBBO robots were humans, they would require personal caregivers to be at their side 24 hours a day.

South, in an unsuccessful attempt to prevent North from playing in NT, bid THREE suits. Hearts was NOT one of them. So why the HELL is North bidding 3H?

Typically imbecilic lead by the slab of garbage in the West.

As usual: Regardless of result (which was NOT good for EW) and regardless of the random layout, looking ONLY at East's hand and combining that information with what he knew from the auction, his lead was just plain foolish.

Your RHO deals and opens 1NT. All pass. You're on lead.

You have A5, AKQ94, 963, 654.

Would you ever even DREAM of leading the ace...of...SPADES?

You wouldn't? Good, I'm happy to hear that, because it means that you are...SANE.

The GIBBO robot in the West, however, clearly thought that the ace of SPADES (!) was a PERFECTLY normal...and INTELLIGENT...lead.

GIBBO robots are not just bad - they are CRAZY.

Here is how "good" the GIB definitions are. Here is how "good" the GIBBO bidding is.

The repulsive GIB definition of South's 1D opening begins with these three annoying, insulting, and COMPLETELY useless words: "Minor suit opening".

The repulsive GIB definition of West's 1H overcall begins with these three annoying, insulting, and COMPLETELY useless words: "One level overcall".

The repulsive GIB definition of South's 2C bid begins with these two annoying, insulting, and COMPLETELY useless words: "New suit".

The silly, illogical GIB definition of North's 2H bid says that it is "forcing to 3NT". WHY, pray tell? He has a mere 10 HCP, and his partner South's 2C bid was defined (in the usual lazy, vague, incomplete, sloppy fashion of GIB) as showing "11+ HCP", which means that...DUH...South could conceivably have as few as eleven HCP. So, please explain, Mr. GIB, why North wants to FORCE (!) to THREE NT when he himself has a mere 10 HCP and his partner could have only eleven? Go ahead, Mr. GIB, we're waiting for some undoubtedly BRILLIANT answer to the question.

Now let's look at the ludicrous, inconsistent, totally inept definition of South's 3C: "4+ diamonds; 11+ HCP; rebiddable clubs; three card diamonds (!!!); 12-16 total points; forcing to 3NT". Most of this is just typical GIB garbage, but what REALLY stands out is that it first says (correctly) that South has at least four diamonds, but then very shortly after that...in the SAME definition (!!!), it ridiculously says that he has "three card diamonds". What happened? Was he robbed at gunpoint? Did a thief steal one or more of South's diamonds while the definition was being written? OR...was this simply an example of a definition composed by someone with such utter carelessness and lack of focus that he couldn't even see the absolute nonsense he had just written? Also worthy of note is that this completely preposterous definition has apparently never been corrected after all this time, after Lord knows how many years. This definition all by itself is an example of why I frequently say that GIB definitions are not only the worst bridge definitions I have ever read, but that they are also the worst definitions of any kind that I have ever read anywhere!

On the auction thus far, and overlooking the monumental uselessness of the 3C definition, South is known to have at least four diamonds and at least four clubs. West passes and North...North...NORTH, with a MISERABLE diamond holding of ONLY three cards (the LOWLY 842) and EXCELLENT...FOUR-card CLUB support of AK98, perversely "corrects" 3C to 3D, something I have often seen these fleabrained GIBBO warthogs do. We've all heard of "artificial intelligence", but GIB/GIBBO would be better described as "ZERO intelligence". The clown's fatuous 3D bid does not even adhere to his own GIB definition, which says that the call shows "4+ diamonds".

GIB/GIBBO = worthless garbage, top to bottom, side to side, within and without, and everywhere in between.

East's ridiculous takeout double of 3C (after having already bid 1S and 2D, after having heard nothing but the word "pass" from his "partner" West, and after having heard both his opponents show a certain amount of strength) is the sign of a "bridge player" (ha, HA, HA!) who ENJOYS going for 500 for no reason and who ENJOYS collecting rock-bottom ZEROES to add to his massive, untouchable, world-class collection of complete failures. He achieved both his objectives (the minus 500 and the score of zero on the board) with his ludicrous double.

GIB/GIBBO rots. I only started playing robot games in 2017, so I don't know if GIB always sucked pumice, but I know from my own eyes that it has sucked pumice since 2017 and that it continues to do so every single day.

Why the HELL is West bidding 2S on 1073 tripleton? One reason and one reason only: He's a useless, sickening GIBBO robot, and like all of them he has no idea whatsoever of how to play bridge. He and all others of his ilk stink at anything and everything related to bridge.

And (sigh) notice that once again the nincompoop doesn't even follow his own GIB definition, which states that his bid shows "4+ spades".

Yes, my 2H opening is abnormal. Why? Because, as I've often mentioned, any time I go into a game with three GIBBO robots, I do so knowing full well that my "partner" is a complete I.D.I.O.T. and that both my opponents also are. Consequently, I do a LOT of operating or "experimenting" that I would never do in a game with humans. It's usually fun, and more often than not it works out, given that the three GIBBO stiffs at my table rank with the absolutely worst "bridge players" of all time.

On this board, why is the GIBBO jackass in the East shifting to a HEART (trump) at trick two? How is that going to help his cause? Answer: It's NOT...but it certainly didn't hurt my cause, as I no longer had a trump guess, thanks to Superstooge's ridiculous shift.

Then the same M.O.R.O.N. wins his club jack at trick five and...of COURSE...immediately makes the phenomenally stupid play of returning a club, because these braindead pieces of trash stupidly, illogically, and perversely LOVE to return the suit DECLARER plays. I actually could have ducked and won dummy's queen, but I figured that even THIS imbecile wouldn't be SO unutterably stupid as to return a club from a remaining holding of K8 dub, and I feared that if I let West win his hypothetical king, he could give me grief by playing a second spade and knocking out dummy's only guaranteed entry, while clubs would be blocked. I gave West credit for making an EXTREMELY rare GOOD robot play by ducking with his presumed king, so I popped my ace and figured I'd set up dummy's queen anyway, which had been my goal from the beginning.

Lo and behold, I soon discovered that East WAS stupid enough to return a club and that West had unsurprisingly NOT made a good play. (Do these clowns EVER make a good play?) I had neglected to follow my own rule of always assuming that the GIBBO trashcans were doing something I.D.I.O.T.I.C. Fortunately, breaking my own rule did not cost, as I scored 100 % on the board anyway, when I took 10 tricks. Halfwit and Dumbo got yet another complete zero for their humiliating and untouchable collection of failures, because I had managed to set up dummy's last club for a pitch before these two ignorant jerks had knocked out my diamond ace. The poutine-brained dweebs had been too busy making their pointless and COSTLY trump shift and then returning the very suit that I was trying to establish for a pitch. Should we be scorning these perennial GIBBO losers or should we be pitying them?

West fails to give East the obvious spade ruff, thereby allowing me to make an overtrick. Thanks, Mr. GIBBO robot. You are a horrendously bad "bridge player" ( like every single one of your GIBBO brothers and sisters), but I must congratulate you for invariably being a VERY generous opponent. If only I didn't have to endure one of your compatriots as my "partner", it would be ideal.

Typically ridiculous overbidding by the GIBBO swine sitting EW. If you declare as poorly as the GIBBO robot in the East does, maybe it would be wise to bid a LOT more conservatively. And what's up with that scintillatingly stupid 2S bid by West, which is apparently a legitimate feature of the illogical, incomplete, ineffective, antiquated, unworkable joke that is the GIBBO bidding system?

Today is Sunday. How does that affect the GIBBO robots?

Answer: It doesn't. They are as phenomenally disgusting and hopeless as they are on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

They rot 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

The sole exception is Leap Year, when they rot for 366 days.

GIB/GIBBO is the worst.

The piece of GIBBO trash in the West...bids 3H...in direct, non-passout position. He does this vulnerable. He does this even though his own GIB definition claims that it shows "6+ hearts" (that's six PLUS hearts!) and he has only five. He does this even though his own GIB definition claims that it shows "14+ total points"...which he most definitely does NOT have. He does this having ALREADY earlier shown hearts and a minor, and having heard his "partner" East do nothing but pass. He does this even though East WILL...STILL have a bid in passout position if West now passes rather than stepping out with his foolish, unilateral, totally undisciplined 3H call.

He lucks out by buying a very good dummy that his imbecilic bidding does NOT deserve, but he still scores only 17.9 % on the board.

He succeeds in proving for the Nth time that he and all his GIBBO brethren are the worst bridge players of all time and that GIB/GIBBO is an ugly, shameful stain on the game of bridge. GIB/GIBBO is an embarrassment that should long ago have been discarded and replaced by DECENT robots playing a DECENT system and using DECENT definitions.

The bidding by West and North confirms that they are both GIBBO robots...in other words, I.D.I.O.T.S.
