I think North's 4H call is silly, since 2C was a game force. Why do these GIBBO halfwits love to jam their OWN uninterrupted auctions? This same theme was previously seen in post # 2812. The execrable GIBBO robots will likely continue bidding like this because, as just about everyone knows, they are hopeless at bridge. They never get better. They repeat the same crimes against logic day after day after day, and on most days they also find new and creative ways to sicken us with their monumental, unmatchable stupidity.

As usual, the GIBBO palooka in the North demonstrates that he has no idea how to bid two-suiters. Just look at the joke of an auction the piece of dirt presents.

Not a surprise, since GIB/GIBBO can't seem to do anything right at any time in any place. I think even its staunchest apologists and defenders FINALLY woke up and smelled the coffee, because it's been a long, LONG time since I've seen one of those poor souls naively (and inexplicably!) claiming that the contemptible GIBBO robots play "better than most humans".

GIB/GIBBO robots are the worst "bridge players" I have ever seen, and the GIBBO pieces of trash cannot EVEN use the excuses that humans sometimes can. GIBBO robots do NOT misclick. GIBBO robots do NOT get tired or distracted and lose their concentration. GIBBO robots do NOT make "operations" or "experiments" that might cause poor results. So, GIBBO has NO excuse for its CONSTANT poor play, since it always produces its "best" game. The PROBLEM is that its "best" game would be the absolute WORST for any half-decent player. The PROBLEM is simply that GIBBO is an ATROCIOUS "bridge player".

Then again, perhaps I'm being too harsh, because I must admit that GIBBO robots ARE hampered by the worst definitions that have ever been written anywhere, and by an antiquated, unworkable system that should have been torn up several decades ago.

Against 6S by South, the braindead GIBBO fool in the West leads his stiff HEART into South...even though South earlier bid hearts and is known to have at least four of them.

"Yeah," some OTHER GIBBO robot might STUPIDLY say in defence of his fellow GIBBO imbecile, "but it's a STIFF heart. He's looking for a ruff."

My reply to the Perry Mason of the GIBBO community would be, "Sit down, genius. I read Perry Mason. I watched Perry Mason. And you, genius, are NO Perry Mason! How on Earth is Superstooge in the West going to get that ruff he desperately craves, when the auction has confirmed that North-South have ALL the key cards?"

The typically imbecilic GIB definition of 4C stupidly claims for absolutely NO reason that it shows "13- HCP". Are there any GIB definitions that are NOT garbage?

I'm currently TRYING to play a Daylong robot game, but the same tremendously annoying thing that happened a couple of days ago is happening again: The table keeps closing, with the message "An error has occurred. Table closing." We know that BBO's GIBBO robots are garbage. I hope their technology is not also turning into garbage.

Although we ended up in the right spot and scored 75 % on the board, I'm not impressed by North's bidding. (Yes, I know that it's shocking that I am unimpressed by GIBBO bidding - ha, ha). First, he bids 2S, showing a "limit raise or better" in clubs, which is questionable. Yes, if I actually have clubs, his hand will provide a fairly good dummy, but I don't have to "have" clubs, since 1C could be bid on a three-bagger (as, in fact, it was). Then, when East doubles (showing a modest spade fit for West) and I...PASS (probably denying significant clubs, values, or shape)...followed by West's pass, North bids three...DIAMONDS...effectively reversing. His bidding, in combination with the typically atrocious and useless GIB definition of 3D, gives me a dilemma. I don't want to go to the four level in either minor, and my spade stopper for NT is VERY tenuous.

I chose to pass 3D, which was "right" on THIS random layout, but could easily have been "wrong". The GIB definition indicated that North had "4+ diamonds:, so he might have had only four in the eternally hopeless GIB system. Additionally, his bid was hopelessly defined as showing "11+ total points". That vague, lazy, failed attempt at explaining his strength meant that we could even have a game, since no upper limit was given.

The East-West "defence" was the usual incompetent mess that we would always expect from the sickening GIBBO robots. The M.O.R.O.N. in the East leads a heart, allowing me to quickly pitch one of my two TOP spade losers. Yes, "anything" might have turned out well or poorly depending on the random layout, but why NOT lead the suit that partner opened? These slimeballs stupidly HATE to lead pard's suit.

Later, at trick six, North leads the club 3 towards dummy South's KJ9 tripleton. All 13 clubs are still in the deck at this point. East, GIBBO imbecile that he is, pops his ace. Note that if he had NOT done this, his EW partnership would always have a guaranteed two natural club tricks: West's queen and East's ace. However, when he stupidly pops his ace, declarer can now lose only one club trick (the ace that was just taken) by playing for West to have been born with a doubleton queen. (I did not do this, because I failed to apply my rule of ALWAYS assuming that the GIBBO dirtbags are doing something extraordinarily stupid.) The ignorant GIBBO coward had NO reason to pop his ace - it could NOT run away, as declarer was known to have been born with at least four clubs.

GIB/GIBBO = garbage - yesterday, today, tomorrow, forever.

Hopeless GIBBO bidding system combines with stupid calls by both Frick and Frack, resulting in the two derelicts being doubled in their joke of a contract and going for 300. Frick stinks. Frack stinks. But nothing stinks worse than GIB/GIBBO.

East fails to unblock his heart king. One MORE thing that GIBBO knows NOTHING about. GIBBO is the worst.

North's 3D is defined as a "minimum" for his 2D opener. It is defined as showing "6-7 HCP".

It is not a minimum, and he does not have "6-7 HCP". He has nine HCP.

Granted, the GIB definitions are usually pathetic and often make no sense, but surely the miserable GIBBO robots are supposed to be following them.

GIB/GIBBO is garbage, top to bottom, left to right, over, under, sideways, down.

The ignorant GIBBO piece of trash in the West perversely leads a spade (his shorter and weaker major).

South wins the JACK at trick one. Golly gee, I wonder who has the ace and king.

At trick two, declarer South slides his club 9. East wins his offside jack and shifts to the four of hearts. West wins his jack and, being one of the stupidest THINGS in the history of the world,...goes back to spades (I.D.I.O.T.!), leading his queen. South, who "knows his customers", ducks (!), FULLY expecting the GIBBO piece of garbage to continue spades...which of COURSE the absolute M.O.R.O.N. does...even though South was marked with the ace and king from trick one!

In my decades of bridge play, I have never EVER seen even a single human player come CLOSE to being as monumentally stupid as each and every GIB/GIBBO robot. The worst human player I EVER encountered was WAY better than each and every GIB/GIBBO robot I have ever seen.

The GIB definition of 3D is "Constructive, 4th suit - 5+ spades; 10 + total points".

Well, bravo, because North actually does have the required spades and points...but he ALSO has five HEARTS, which are not even mentioned in the definition, and in fact the HEARTS are much stronger than the spades. Furthermore, what is this absolute NONSENSE about "4th suit"? There IS no "FOURTH" suit, because ONLY TWO suits have been mentioned at the point North bid 3D. The TWO suits were clubs and diamonds (neither mentioned by name, but both assumed due to West's 2NT call).

In other words, a typically PATHETIC GIB definition. Garbage as usual.

North might have made a responsive double over East's 3D. North might have bid 4D over South's reopening double. Both depend on partnership agreements.

East typically makes a stupid lead. With four suits to choose from, the jerk decides that he MUST lead the one in which his LHO overcalled.

At trick three, the first time any trumps (spades) are played, declarer North leads his 3 to East's 7 and dummy's king. West, with J8 doubleton, plays the jack. This didn't cost and often wouldn't cost, but was there a point to the play?

Note that declarer ALWAYS has to lose two natural trump tricks and one natural heart trick. To take one MORE trick and in so doing defeat the contract, all these worthless GIBBO loonies had to do was lead THEIR suit (diamonds) instead of the known ENEMY suit (clubs), but even THAT was too tough for these braindead pieces of stone cold GIBBO garbage.

West wins his diamond ace at trick two. At trick three, he plays another diamond, because these witless GIBBO pieces of dirt HATE to lead their OWN suits, but LOVE to lead ENEMY suits.

I would have made 12 tricks anyway, so the M.O.R.O.N.'S. typically imbecilic play didn't cost him THIS time (although it often WOULD). I'm posting this because it offers a further example of the same convoluted "thinking" that DID cost these perennial GIBBO losers in post 2833 immediately above.

GIB/GIBBO is disgustingly bad. It stinks. I see no reason why this trash still pollutes BBO, since in 2026 decent robots DO exist.

North's 3D is defined as showing "8+ total points". He certainly does not have even EIGHT points, let alone "eight plus", which in the typically vague, lazy, and ultimately useless GIB style of definitions, has NO upper limit! North is doing this red against white.

But far worse things - and far FUNNIER things are about to happen, thanks to the MONUMENTAL stupidity of Johnny Halfwit in the West and old, weak Donald J. Dumbo in the East...as well Mr. GIB himself.

West decides to balance in passout seat...but he decides to balance in SPADES!!! He does this although his RHO South opened 1NT (and is therefore known to have at least two spades) and his LHO North transferred to spades (!), so HE is therefore known to have at least five spades. Consequently, West, looking at six spades in his own hand, KNOWS that his "partner" East is...void in spades! And yet, Halfwit still balances in SPADES.

Here is the INSANE GIB definition of 3S:

"1+ club". WHY? WHY, pray tell, does 3S promise at least one club?

"13+ HCP". WHY? WHY, pray tell, does 3S promise at least 13 HCP? Note, BTW, that he does not have even 13 HCP, let alone "13 plus". He has only 10 HCP.

""14-16 total points". First, WHY? Second, NO, he does NOT have "14-16 total points:, because he has ONLY 10 HCP, and EW have not even established a fit! What they HAVE established, if they listened to the NS bidding, is a MISFIT (!) at least in spades! Third, why do GIB definitions ever even bother mentioning "total" points, since GIB has made it obvious on numerous occasions that it knows nothing, absolutely NOTHING, about "total" points?

"Forcing". WHY? Although I guess that MAYBE this is GIB's inept way of saying that 3S is not natural, but is a cuebid. If it IS a cuebid, why not just clearly state that? If it's not a cuebid, then the bid is INSANE. And even if it IS a cuebid, it's STILL insane on this hand...and it's one MORE example...of THOUSANDS...of the GIBBO robots STUPIDLY committing a "cuebid" (usually a ridiculous, obscure, questionable, miserably defined one) at a HIGH level after being SILENT until then. GIBBO stinks. GIB definitions are the worst ever...in ANY milieu, not JUST in bridge.

But the laughs are not over, because now East decides that he MUST...LEAP...to FIVE clubs! This, as expected, has another pathetic GIB definition, and as is SO often the case the worthless orange chub in the East does not even respect his own GIB definition. It states (for LORD knows what reason!) that the M.O.R.O.N.'S. call shows "11 HCP", but he has only 9.

GIB/GIBBO is a horror show. Even the residents of Bizarro World would consider it an absolute joke. It should have been buried in a landfill when GOOD robots started to appear elsewhere!

West, on lead with two aces, doubles South in 6NT. Good move, Mr. West! For once, your call makes sense.

Which ace does he lead?

Trick question (sorry) because he...uh...doesn't lead EITHER ace. He underleads (!) his diamond ace!

But hey, no problem, because he was born with horseshoes up his...nose. (Yeah, he has a big nose.) His "PARTNER" East has the KING of diamonds and wins it at trick one.

Yes, talk about lucky!

But maybe not THAT lucky, because at trick two, East...wait for it (!)...SHIFTS (!) to the 9 of hearts, and declarer takes all 12 remaining tricks, West, on LEAD with TWO aces against 6NT doubled, never took even a single trick.

Note also that East did not even shift to the CORRECT heart. He had 1093 and shifted to the NINE. A case could be made for the TEN and a case could be made for the THREE, but the GIBBO robot found the one and ONLY heart that could NOT be right (EVEN if his INSANE heart shift had MAGICALLY turned out to be "right"). Once again, a chimpanzee would probably have outperformed Donald J. Dumbo!

Over South's raise to 2H, North could make an aggressive leap to 4H. However, he chooses not to. He chooses to merely invite game, with a game try of 2S. Fair enough.

South bids 3H, rejecting the invitation.

North...now...bids (!) FOUR hearts! This auction really should now be a slam try, since North made a "game try" originally, but then bid again. Except: North was a passed hand...but I think it should still be a slam try, because otherwise it makes NO sense. He could (and should!) have a hand that, although it could not open the bidding, is a strong "playing" hand with powerful shape.

However, knowing from the start that my "partner" was a hopeless I.D.I.O.T. (read: GIBBO robot), I passed.

The point of the post is that North's auction was very inconsistent. He should either have bid 4H directly over 2H...OR invited and then RESPECTED a signoff. Although the game happened to make on THIS layout, it might have failed on another one, but North's hand was either "good" enough to bid it over 2H or NOT "good" enough, and if he initially deemed it NOT good enough, then nothing subsequently changed to make it any better.

Trick nine: Johnny Halfwit in the West proves that he is an I.D.I.O.T. and a craven coward when he stupidly pops his diamond king. Why would old, wrinkled Donald J. Dumbo play with him? Oh yeah: because Dumbo is also an I.D.I.O.T. and a craven coward. Got it.

Trick four: Declarer North leads the 9 of clubs towards dummy's AKJ108. Donald J. Dumbo...with Q76 tripleton of clubs...COVERS (!!!) the 9 with his QUEEN (!!!) and I claim all the remaining tricks.

Yeah, we all know that very often it's CORRECT to cover...but ONLY if covering will potentially help YOUR side. Here, the appropriately-named DUMBO could SEE that ALL of dummy's clubs - ALL (!) - would be winners once his queen was gone, so it was IMPOSSIBLE for his insane cover to EVER gain.

It WAS, however, possible for it to LOSE. What if Dumbo did NOT (stupidly!) cover? Declarer COULD go wrong. He might bang down the AK of clubs, hoping to catch a doubleton queen in either hand and figuring that if that did NOT happen, he would fall back on a heart finesse in his attempt to take 9 tricks. Sure, he COULD get it "right" and hook Dumbo for the queen, but he would have had a POSSIBILITY of guessing wrong. Dumbo gave him NO chance to go wrong and GUARANTEED that he would take all the remaining tricks.

At trick eight, East is squeezed in three suits, but for once he is blameless. There's a first time for everything. Maybe he won't even feel obliged to add THIS zero to his massive lifetime collection.
