Trick four: West makes the HILARIOUS play of OVERTAKING (!) his "partner" East's club jack with his ace!!! Apparently he RUSHED to do this because he was in a DESPERATE hurry to play his jack of diamonds (from his remaining J8 dub) to dummy's remaining stiff, HIGH king.

You CANNOT make this stuff up! If you were writing bridge fiction and included THIS play, critics would scoff, and say that NO ONE would be STUPID enough to do it. It would DESTROY any credibility your story or novel might have. GIB/GIBBO is the EPITOME of cluelessness, ignorance, and hopelessness. It is garbage - pure garbage.

Why is West bidding 2C to show an unidentified SINGLE-suiter? SURELY, if he wishes to intervene, it would be INFINITELY better to bid 2NT, showing both minors, because he has a TWO-suiter, NOT a ONE-suiter. GIB/GIBBO is the worst EVER.

And SPEAKING of stupid leads, check out Frick's ridiculous spade lead here. Yeah, "anything" COULD be "right" or "wrong", but his DANGEROUS lead from queen-third is MUCH more likely to COST than a SAFE heart lead, and also probably less likely to GAIN than a heart lead.

Frick's silly lead, combined with Frack's foolish pitch of his spade guard, allowed me to...LAUGHABLY take...ALL 13 TRICKS!

The two hopeless GIBBO pieces of garbage sitting East-West contrive to allow me to take TEN tricks in 1NT. East pops his club ace, never plays diamonds, and does not cash out. West stupidly pitches a diamond at his first opportunity. All this allows me to squeeze East in hearts and diamonds.

GIB/GIBBO robots are far, FAR worse than even the WORST human player I have ever encountered. GIB is an embarrassment to bridge. I do have some sympathy for GIBBO: How could it EVER be good, having descended from something as hopelessly weak, as poorly structured, and as pitifully defined as GIB? An apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

In passout seat, I wanted to double 3S for penalty, but I checked the GIB definition and saw that GIB insanely plays that double as takeout, which is BEYOND stupid (even by the WOEFUL "standards" of the always wretched GIB system). Why on Earth would it make ANY sense for a double here to be takeout (!), given South's earlier 2NT bid over East's 2S opener?

No wonder the robots are so awful, saddled as they are with the hopeless GIB system and ridiculous GIB definitions.

I was contemplating what to do over East's 3D bid. One possibility was to bid 3S. I checked the GIB definition for 3S and, as ALWAYS expected with GIB definitions, it was utter nonsense: "1- heart; 4+ spades; 18+ total points".

Really, GIB??? A total CROCK from beginning to end! Why must a 3S bid show at MOST one heart? Why would you WANT to bid three SPADES here if you could have ONLY (!!!) FOUR spades? And why must you have at least 18 total points? Did the author of this trash actually think ANY of it made SENSE? Or did he just enjoy writing complete gibberish?

After looking at that pile of imbecility, I decided to bid 3H, which ended the auction. All was well, as I took exactly 9 tricks and scored 100 % on the board. I mention that only to prevent any trolls from speculating that I am crying over a bad result - which is NEVER the point of any posts here, just as it is NEVER the point to brag about good results. The point is ALWAYS to expose the horror show that is GIB/GIBBO in the hope that BBO will replace it with a DECENT system, thereby pleasing BBO members and paying customers...AND ensuring that BBO remains a respected and successful bridge site in an era where multiple competitors are emerging.
