Not enough tricks to even risk 2 clubs and have partner blast an unmakeable slam
You either bid 1 or 4 - easy with 8 tricks
I agree that it is unlikely you will be left in one
How do you bid hands that are too strong for a 1 bid but not strong enough for 2 clubs?

Imo what those who like to open 2C on strong playing hands with low hcp forget, or simply dont understand, is that partner should be allowed to think and play a role in the auction.

Not sure, but opening 2!C with that hand might be illegal in the ACBL.

Sort of... as quoted above, in limited games running on the Basic/+ chart, as it's "not within 1 trick of game" and so does not qualify for the exceptions to "18 high".
In Open/+ events, it's perfectly legal (any 2-level Opening that promises 10-or-Ro19 is legal), but if your agreement is that this is acceptable for a 2♣ opener, Alert your 2♣ openers.

I just had a hand in Zenith the other day which scored me a top - yes I know I was borderline - sorry I am dealer and everyone NV
Looked like a nice hand and Zenith bidding has to be a bit psychy at times - 4S would have worked too I think
Sometimes it works and sometime it doesn't but everyone else was left in 1 spade
I may post west later and ask if you would have overcalled 1 spade opening. I think I would have overcalled it
And despite that beautiful hand 4 spades was very borderline indeed

I imagine it must be entertaining bidding like this with bots but please, let's make it clear that if you bid like this with a Real, Live, Breathing Partner,
your partnership will end here. If you are playing live, it will end at the end of the session.
It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.

I think you are intentionally missing the point
The point is having hands like that and how to bid them rather than constantly insulting me
I have asked you before not to insult me. Please desist
yes robot tourneys are fake Bridge. But the issue of how to bid that hand and not be passed is an important one in all forms of Bridge as per this thread and discussion
So no more insults. Talk to the issue please
If I post the West hand I am sure most people would have overcalled. the issue is not what happened in a bridge tourney
Maybe people do not understand what the incessant insult is. I have played bridge for 40 years. Not some beginner or novice. that is the constant insult and targetted at me it appears
I could spell out the issue but the thread has a topic on options how to bid hands like that in any form of Bridge
Do you bid 1 and risk being passed out, do you consider a preempt ever.
What forms of Bridge and seat positions would change the consideration
The issue. Not incessant rudeness and insults against me
Back to the issue. Most people dropped forcing strong 2s due to frequency. So do we all just have to accept being passed in 1 spade with a hand like that
But back to cease and desist. There is a formal cease and desist process. And if people ignore them some people can initiate proceedings. I have issued specific and broad cease and desists to a subset of this forum over many years now. It should not need to be any more formal than that. There is another C and D notice
My main human partner who I rarely get to play with still uses stong 2s LOL
