Not my table, but watch the piece of trash GIBBO "declarer" in the West TOTALLY butcher his 4H contract.

After another GIBBO M.O.R.O.N. in the North makes the STUPID lead of his stiff club (when he has QJ7 of hearts behind the opening one HEART bidder, who is MARKED with a strong hand), the contract is ice cold for TWELVE tricks. The astoundingly hopeless GIBBO "declarer" manages to take... a mere TEN (!), definitively proving (for the Nth time!) to the whole world that these useless GIBBO sacks of trash can't even DECLARE well. They are pure, utter garbage and they should be buried forever in a landfill. In 2026, there are FAR better robots available than these sickening GIBBO fleabrains.

This is the same board discussed in post # 2661 immediately above, but from another table (again not mine).

Here the incompetent GIBBO fools sitting East-West show us how "well" they bid. They're cold for game in both hearts and NT, but being the incomparably hopeless GIBBO numbskulls that they are, they flounder into a ludicrous 4S in their 4-2 fit and go down three.

I think a cockroach would probably play a better game of bridge if given a chance. GIB/GIBBO robots are the absolute worst. They stink.

Finally, here's that same board that was discussed in posts 2661 and 2662 above, but this time from my table. West decides to pass out 2D, proving in one fell swoop that he's a hopeless bridge player and is also stupid, oblivious, clueless, and for sure one of the most gutless COWARDS the world has ever seen.

Johnny Halfwit and Donald J. Dumbo EARN themselves another zero for their massive, untouchable collection of complete failures. This time they do it by failing to get their diamond ruff, thanks to irredeemably stupid plays by both of them.

GIBBO robots are the poster boys and poster girls of ineptitude. They're good for NOTHING except failing.

I'm currently playing a game with three GIBBO robots. I'm pausing my play for a couple of minutes to mention that all three of them are playing like the unmitigated pieces of total trash that they are. Why am I not surprised? Perhaps it's because all three INVARIABLY mess up just about everything they touch, mainly because GIB/GIBBO is nothing but garbage. Garbage system, garbage definitions, garbage bidding, garbage leads, garbage "defence", garbage "declarer play", AND - to boot - they are the worst "partners" of all time. GIB/GIBBO stinks in every possible way. When bridge dies and its epitaph is written, I have no doubt that historians will decree that GIB/GIBBO was an ugly blemish on the face of the game and a repulsive laughingstock to anyone who actually knew how to play.

I'm still playing. Different game, but still with three sickening GIBBO robots. (No offence to these three - they're no worse than any other GIBBO robots, all of which are sickening). I'm just taking another short break to mention that what I wrote in post # 2665 immediately above was not nearly strong enough to express the abject contempt that I have for the GIBBO pieces of dirt. In my defence, though, I will say that I don't think ANY language has created words powerful enough to describe how completely rotten and repulsive GIB/GIBBO is. Perhaps linguists consider it unimaginable that anyone or anything could sink to the extreme lows of GIB/GIBBO.

78.13 % on the board for down one in 4H. Not impressed by North's auction. He might have bid 3H over West's 3D, but having chosen not to, why is he NOW choosing to bury South by bidding FOUR hearts? Inconsistency: one of the countless flaws inherent in GIB/GIBBO.

Typically braindead lead by the typically braindead GIBBO M.O.R.O.N. in the West.

Then, when the same M.O.R.O.N. wins the fourth club (thanks to the usual BBO bad break), he belatedly shifts to a spade (the suit that the feebleminded trout should have led at trick one)...but he's SO stupid that he can't even shift to the correct spade. These GIBBO losers play fourth best but the ignorant simpleton leads his FIFTH best (the 4). The GIBBO jerk in the East returns a HEART, not a spade, so declarer scores a shared top on the board for making eight tricks.

GIB/GIBBO is good for...NOTHING (just like MOST garbage...and GIB/GIBBO is INDEED garbage!).

Since East-West are two GIBBO robots (in other words, two of the most horrifically hopeless "bridge players" of all time, two complete I.D.I.O.T.S.), they are too stupid to bid 5H. Par for the course for these perpetual imbeciles.

Then the M.O.R.O.N. in the East (Donald J. Dumbo) compounds the error by making the blatantly ridiculous play of giving declarer a ruff and discard at trick two.

Why have these 100 percent useless GIBBO pieces of trash not been permanently discarded and replaced by robots that have even a modicum of ability? Does BBO have no interest in providing better competition for its members and paying customers?

Although North's oblivious play did not cost here (since we scored a shared top of 95.83 % on the board for beating 4S when declarer misguessed diamonds), it was still bad.

As South, I won the club lead at trick one, and at trick two purposely shifted to the QUEEN of hearts (!) rather than the NORMAL king from my holding of KQ9 tripleton. I did this for two reasons. One was to mislead declarer about my high cards, so that he might go wrong in another suit (as he in fact DID when he misguessed diamonds!). Another was to DETER my "partner" from leading a heart if he got in later, and to prod him into instead leading a second club if he had one. My strategy worked with my opponent West, but it...of COURSE...did NOT work with my oblivious "partner". Fortunately, it was irrelevant.

South opened the bidding 1C but then PASSED his partner's 1H response, so did North REALLY think there might be a game? I, South, PASSED the response because this was a Best Hand game, so I KNEW that North had at most 11 HCP and that a game was highly unlikely. If we DID miss a game, then I would accept the blame.

When the opponents competed to 2D, I counter-competed with what seemed to be a SAFE 2H, since I had previously PASSED (!) ONE heart!

Unfortunately, my "partner" North was a GIBBO robot, one of the most abysmally stupid THINGS (animate OR inanimate) in the history of the world, so the profoundly sickening jerk decided that he MUST now bid two...SPADES (!)...with...865 (!!!), Q1087, KQ1062, A! Had he instead raised hearts, bid diamonds, or maybe even bid clubs, I would have had SOME sympathy, but two...SPADES!!!

I now PASSED, primarily because playing with such a complete imbecile, I could envision his potential NEXT call being a slam if I made ANY bid other than pass! Yes, I'm exaggerating for comedic or dramatic effect, but NOT by a lot! Also, I was hoping that the dweeb might actually have (!)...SPADES (you know, the "suit" that he had just BID!).

Fortunately, we scored 92.50 % on the board when we made the contract for plus 110. The only pair that beat us bid and made 4H...but (as expected!) 17 (!) pairs went down in 4H or 5H! One table passed out the board.

The hopeless GIBBO robots sitting East-West have a typically bad auction ending in a no-play contract of 4H.

My hopeless GIBBO robot "partner" makes a typically stupid GIBBO robot lead (as always, preferring to lead an ENEMY suit rather than his partner's), but luckily even with a complete I.D.I.O.T. like my GIBBO robot "partner" on lead, the game still went down the one trick that it was always slated to go down, as declarer West had to lose a trick in every suit.

Not really much of a story here, since GIBBO robots (the detestable pond scum of the bridge world) almost always bid badly and almost always make braindead leads.

No, not really much of a story...so why I am posting it? Because the REAL story takes place at three OTHER tables, as I will illustrate in post # 2674, which follows immediately after this one. Stay tuned!

Now, as promised in post # 2673 immediately above, here's what happened on the same board at three other tables. At these three tables, the auction was exactly the same as at my table up to and including East's 4H call, but then there was a difference.

Whereas I passed (followed by passes by West and North, thereby ending the auction in an unmakeable contract of 4H by West), three human Souths chose to bid 5D. Looking at all four hands, this was clearly the wrong decision (at least on the random layout of THIS random hand), since 4H would have gone down one, while 5D had NO play and was slated for down two.

But, as so often happens when the repulsive, imbecilic GIBBO rodents are involved, a funny thing happened on the way to the scoresheet:

One of the three GIBBO Wests doubled, and 5D doubled (declared by South) became the final contract. At the two other tables, all passed and the final contract was 5D (not doubled) declared by South.

The (ABYSMAL!) GIBBO "defence" was the same at all three tables. As you can see, EW have...FOUR (!)...TOP (!!!) tricks against 5D (whether doubled or not): The AK of BOTH black suits.

But at...ALL THREE TABLES...the GIBBO robot sitting West cashed his two high spades (risky to BEGIN with!) and then...PLAYED A THIRD SPADE! Note that he did this with the dummy...and its Q10954 of spades (!) visible to him!!!

The human declarers wrapped up eleven tricks. I hope they were polite enough to THANK the GIBBO robots for their generosity!

But - before I forget - please, o ye defenders of and apologists for the execrable GIBBO robots, PLEASE...remind me AGAIN of your belief that GIBBO robots "play better than most humans". I'm asking for you to remind me because I...ALWAYS enjoy a good LAUGH!

The complete...ENTIRE...GIB "definition" of "double" by South over East's 4S opening bid was "2+ spades". That's it, that's ALL! It says NOTHING...nothing AT ALL...about whether the double is: penalty...or takeout...or co-operative...or optional...or DSI...or 9 diamonds, 2 spades, 1 club, and 1 heart (ha, ha)...or...or...ANYTHING. The GIB "definition" does NOT...DEFINE (!!!) the bid! It FAILS to do the one and ONLY thing that a DEFINITION (BY definition!) is supposed to actually do!

It doesn't even give any HINTS! Does he have THIRTY-SEVEN HCP...or does he have ZERO? Apparently as far as GIB is concerned, he can have either...or ANYTHING IN BETWEEN.

Does he have a pancake flat 4-3-3-3 shape...or a 2-11-0-0 shape? Apparently as far as GIB is concerned, he can have either...or ANYTHING ELSE.

As far as GIB is concerned, the one and ONLY criterion for a double of 4S is that the doubler MUST have at least two spades. I guess they can be the AK doubleton...or the 32 doubleton...or anything else, but he MUST have at least two.

Where the HELL is there ANY logic to ANY of this?

And even ignoring that the TOTALLY worthless, TOTALLY useless "definition" actually "defines" NOTHING, what is SO...MAGICAL...and so VITAL about this INSANE requirement for the doubler to have at least two spades?

The GIB definitions, like GIB/GIBBO in general, are usually pathetic. They are usually poorly written, often inaccurate and/or incomplete GARBAGE. But just consider this: At some point in time, some poor soul actually sat there composing this utter drivel - and presumably (?) thought that he was creating the best POSSIBLE definition that ANYONE could EVER come up with.

Laughable. Laughable...AND pathetic. And yet, this GARBAGE...is STILL being used as the robot system on BBO. Maybe no one in a position of authority even cares.

Rather than risk a complete disaster (knowing that my "partner", being a contemptible, usreless GIBBO robot, was one of of the worst "bridge players" of all time), I took the precaustion of passing. We scored 75 % on the board. GIB/GIBBO is the pits. GIB/GIBBO rots. GIB/GIBBO is an embarrassment to the game.

The GIBBO dumbbell in the North decides to show off that he knows about "the impossible spade" treatment (which is used to show a hand that is too good to merely raise to 3D). Of course, since he's a foul species known as a "GIBBO robot", he doesn't USE this treatment - he MISUSES it (at least in my opinion). First, he has "only" four diamonds. Second, he's fairly flat at 2-2-4-5. Third, his hand is actually pretty good for HEARTS, which at matchpoints you should aim for.

I scored a decent 71.4 % on the board when I made two overtricks in 3D, but I would never bid 2S with the North hand after our start of pass - 1H - 1NT (not forcing in their system, since he's a passed hand) - 2D.

West ONLY raises East to 2S, yet East makes a game try with 3D. It's not TERRIBLE, perhaps, but it IS aggressive.

THEN...after West REJECTS the game try (!) and SIGNS OFF (!) in 3S, East...bids 4S anyway! That IS terrible, REALLY terrible. SO terrible that maybe ONLY a GIBBO robot (one of the undeniably worst "bridge players" EVER!) would do it.

East has ONLY four spades (the FEWEST he could possibly have, in view of his earlier 1S call)...and they are a MISERABLE four: the 8642!

East has 10 HCP...but his earlier 3D call was defined by GIB as showing "10+ HCP", so in that context, he has the FEWEST he could possibly have.

But MOST importantly, he asked for his partner West's opinion on whether to go to game, West GAVE his opinion ("No!"), and the GIBBO piece of dirt in the East stupidly bid the game anyway, proving that...

Not only is one of the worst "bridge players" of ALL time, but also that he is one of the worst "partners" of ALL time!

GIBBO robots are nothing but garbage. I wouldn't trade a used, soggy facial tissue for the ENTIRE COLLECTION of GIBBO robots! They are all repulsive.

I scored 60.7 % on this board for going down "only" one in 4H.

I consider North's Michaels bid on that piece of cheese at equal vulnerability to be the act of someone who needs to study bridge for another century or so before EVER attempting to play it again.

Stupid lead by North. What else is new? At least it didn't cost. The M.O.R.O.N. lucked out. Just about EVERY time a GIBBO fleabrain gets a good or even average score, it's because he LUCKED out. They're all too hopeless to get decent scores on merit. They all rot.

We scored 91.86 % on this board for going down "only" one in 2H.

But forgetting about the result or the random layout, why on EARTH is Sylvester Balboa in the North BIDDING 2H...red against white (!)...on his FOUR(!)-count...and his PATHETIC heart "support" of 86 doubleton (!)?

I don't care if he gets us a zero, a hundred, or anything else here, but WHATEVER he gets us, his call is INSANE. It doesn't even match his own GIB definition.
