I run Windows 10 with a 300Mbs connection via ethernet, 32GB of RAM. I have absolutely zero problems with other sites and apps. Today I played about 30 hands in a pre-arranged game with friends and it literally dropped me about 90 times. It is unusable. What have I done?

- Rebooted my PC many times.
- Closed all other apps and services.
- Fully updated the PC.
- Tried a variety of browsers.
- Rebooted the router many times.
- Created a new BBO profile - same problem.
- Used my Android tablet with the BBO app on my wifi.
- Used my Android tablet using cell data connection (different ISP).

It cannot be my device as I have used two. It cannot be my ISP as I have used two. There is no answer I can find on this help site, just many times saying it must be the ISP. Any help would be appreciated. We will reluctantly otherwise look for an alternative service although other players in the group have no such problems.

Does that mean you're having a different experience to last time you posted? (There you said that you could play with no problems on your tablet; it was only affecting your PC). There was a recent update to BBO, so that may potentially have changed something.

If I were getting disconnected myself I would probably start by looking at my network traffic to try to narrow down exactly which part of the communication to the server is failing. For example, press F12 in Firefox, go to the Network tab, click on WS, reload BBO, click on the connection that shows up with status 101, and go to the Response tab on the right. Every few seconds you should see a ping followed by an almost immediate acknowledgement, among other requests. Seeing this data won't *solve* anything, but finding out at what point the ping fails and you get disconnected may potentially give some clues as to what to look at next.. though it's likely to require more detailed investigation with a program like WireShark.

But I'm a technical person that likes debugging things like that, so it's harder if you're not. I wish I could get disconnected at least once to look myself, but I literally can't remember the last time I did, and my wifi isn't even that great :(

Thanks for your considered response. I am not very technical but will take a look at what you suggest. I did not know that BBO had made some changes. In the past I have used my tablet while out and about, connecting to BBO via the phone data link. It had absolutely zero problems. The same set up worked similarly sat next to my PC, although there was little reason to do that other than when the PC was disconnecting from BBO. Now, neither set up works at my home which is indeed a change - for the worse. My Android tablet over an independent data link does still work on the road so I am baffled.

I apologize for the duplicate thread. It was inadvertent and related to not receiving notifications for the other thread.
