it is either Pass or 4S, I prefer Pass, but 4S is ok as well.
Both can work out great or bad.

Agree with P_Marlowe --- it's a Pass or 4♠ situation. I too marginally prefer Pass to 4♠

Understand your spirit, but I would not risk 4♣ without discussion, could be either suit (and what if she has xxx) or a control in a hand very close to 1♠.
We are unlikely to have slam, quite likely to have game: 4♠.

We are vulnerable and unlikely to have slam, quite likely to have game: I would go easy on companion and bid 4♠ now.
