Hello everyone :
I noticed that it seems rare people use "Marathon Bids" from Eric Rodwell 2/1,would you tell me the reasons?
Thank you.

Why does everyone not use "Marathon Bids" to discuss on BBF?

I had to google the term, but it seems to me as if just about everyone who plays 2/1 employs them. To what effect may vary, but the idea is there. It just seems to me like asking why not many open 1C with AQxxx AKx Axxx x.

This terminology was invented by Rodwell (presumably to teach new players) and is not a term most of us learned/use when discussing 2/1 (we use the term "game forcing"). The system itself is nonetheless identical.

Everyone uses them. We just don't call them that.
