I would start by balancing with a double. Too good support for C to show a red 2 suiter. E should bid 3C, playing Lebensohl this shows some values but is non forcing. 3H, 4C and probably 4S next. Can E bid the slam? I don't really see it. I'd sign off in game as E and leave it there as W.

It seems inconceivable that South would pass here. Is a more normal start to the auction not (2) - P - (4)?

West did double and after East bid 3 South now bid 3 which was the final contract

Yes, but this is the I/A forum rather than N/B so we ought to assume a modicum of bridge knowledge and methods on both sides rather than simple resulting. I am guessing that E-W did not have any agreement about a 2NT advance for example - am I right?

I do not see what was wrong with Leaping Michaels... do you really want partner to convert a double of 2?

Well one thing wrong from the OP's point of view might be not reaching 7. More importantly, I doubt a pair not playing Lebensohl and that would sell out to 3 have the ability to use LM with any confidence.

West's hand doesn't look like a GF to me, and E's hand looks like a negative, so bidding this with myself it would go (2) P (P) X / 2N 3C/ P.

Well-passed, south.
