For bean counters: "top honors concentration in spades is worth 1 point, making it the regulamentary 12".

IMO, 3 ♣ is virtually a game force. I'm just bidding 3 ♠. I'd like to raise partner's ♣, but that bypasses 3 NT which may still be a viable contract and possibly the last makeable contract.

"It's only when a mosquito lands on your testicles that you realize there is always a way to solve problems without using violence!"
"Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say."

4♠ might be the best game even on a Burnsian fit, opposite e.g.
♠ J ♥ x x x ♦ K Q x ♣ A K x x x x
♠ x ♥ A x x x ♦ x x ♣ A K x x x x

If so, 'minimum' or no I have great support for a slam try, so I'm raising to 4♣. If he then bids 4♠ it must be an offer to play, and I can pass.

I decided a long time ago, that I will pass 11 counts with 5332 shape.
It worked ok up to now.
We recently switchted to 11-14 NT opening, so we can open 1NT, in case
we dont have a 5 card major.
You happen to play 2/1, the only bid from p you can handle is 1NT, you
will pass, everything else will already lead to a feeling, why did I open.
If you really have to open, 2S, but partner will never give you AKQ in
spades. Besides, just because you pass , does not mean, you have to pass
the whole time.
With kind regards
Marlowe

3H. What else? 3C is forcing, you dont have a heart stopper, bypassing 3NT is no option.

How about giving you maximal room to describe your hand?
3C takes away no room, assuming 2NT is Lebensohl, 3NT does, and 3H as well.
And sometimes partner has a stopper, like Axx, but prefers that 3NT gets played
from our side, if we have a (semi) stopper.
