Raff90 will play either with his mentor or with his regular junior pd or with gszes if none of those will be available.

I'll confirm we have a team and iron details later :)

Change of plans. I was late to give a team, so Saturday was already full. They do however need opps on Sunday.

I'll check with Gordon and Raffy if Sunday works for them.

Meanwhile, if there's a pair who can play on Sunday let me know please, we'll work something out and hopefully give them opps for Sunday.

I'll switch the BBF Indy on Saturday instead.

Raff90 can't do Sunday, he's going to Greece.

Anyone free to play on Sunday 8PM Central European time (2PM New York)?

If not I'll team up with George (if he'll have me ofc), but I believe it's in the best interest of the Forums to find someone better than me :)

I will switch my tennis from sunday to saturday so I will be available if needed
(sunday 2pm, eastern). Would like to go over some basic system questions if going to
play with whomever so I will show up around 130.

So we have a full team for Sunday:

gordontd + lorne50

Good luck, and sorry for the last minute change.

I see we lost by 50 in case other people are interested. Could the participants try to post the results and/or write a few words on how it went after finishing?
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

We had a great start - up 31-9 after eight boards after our team-mates picked up a big penalty, our opps missed a good sac, and we had a couple of part-score swings. Then the rot set in: I let through an over-trick in a small slam but unfortunately in the other room they weren't so careless - and they were in a grand - 14 out. A couple of boards later I failed to balance when they subsided in 2S and that was 6 out. A few hands later I went off in a vulnerable game that was made at the other table and that was another 13 out. And so it went on.

Towards the end I held:

It's exactly for these sorts of hands that I'm glad I play bids as forcing here, so I bid 3S ready to follow up with 4D over 3NT. Unfortunately I played there, making +3. Although our partnership is fairly regular and we have well-documented agreements, we haven't played together much for a few years and he plays this as NF with all his other partners. We're playing together in the Commonwealth Nations Transnational teams in Glasgow next month, so it was to get practice and try to pick up these sorts of things that we wanted to play this match, and in that it was very useful. Many thanks to Diana for organising it.

When that 3S board got passed out I was thinking just that - good thing it happened on BBO and not IRL!
