I'm also not really liking the scoring very much either. Doesn't seem to write to reward being half a continent off with 2000, while a direct hit less than 0.1km away is only like 5800

I'm still waiting to have a photo somewhere that isn't in North America, Europe, Australia or Japan.
Doesn't Africa exist?
Why is the US so dominant?

I doubt Africa has much google streetview coverage, other than South Africa (where I have been sent to twice). I also got one in Northern Taiwan.

I got sent to S America lots of times. N Korea is missing too, apparently ;)

I have yet to encounter a single place name, but language-vegetation-drivingleftorright generally gives enough clues to identify the country. My country stats so far are (I might have missed recording a few):
Canada: 2
USA 3
Brasil 7
South Africa 1
UK 1
Norway 2
Denmark 1
France 1
Hungary 1
Bulgaria 2
Russia 4
South Korea 2
Japan 1
Taiwan 2
Australia 4
New Zealand 2
