I think most players leak more points on defense than any other area of the game.
Even with a post mortem most players do not find errors in their defense.
Today with online play, it is possible to study how boards were defended
at other tables. Players breaking contracts often produce a line which
never occurred to you.
Where do you leak the most points?

Or, alternatively, you see that declarers who failed all took different lines, and no one broke the contract on their own, suggesting that your own defense wasn't in error. It's a weakish negative inference, but it's not worthless.
