Matchpoints

Your opponents play Acol, 4-card minors and a weak notrump.

Your call and plan?

I want my opponents to leave my table with a smile on their face and without matchpoints on their score card - in that order.

You hold it in your hand.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

The winning action on the hand depends on who you are playing. I passed and scored 10/20 matchpoints for making the par score (+130 available in either minor). Three people bid and made three notrump, which was not an easy contract to defend but leading from four clubs to the jack was not ideal). Two players passed their partner's one spade overcall (!!), scoring +170 on a friendly defence.

I was happy to get an average in the end :)

I would pass. Even if partner has the majority of the outstanding HCP, it is possible that no game makes. In IMP it would be a tougher decision, but most likely the same.

Pass

The hand is a complete misfit. So I'll just get out of the auction as quickly as possible even with a pretty good hand. The length and quality of your suit should give 2 a decent play.
