What's the difference between the following sequences for your partnership; in all cases opponents open 1:

(1) - 2 Michaels (holding the reds)
(1) - 2 - (Pass) - Pass - (2) - 3
(1) - 2 - (Pass) - Pass - (2) - Dbl, removing a 3 advance from partner to 3
(1) - 2 - (Pass) - Pass - (2) - 2NT, removing a 3 advance from partner to 3

It seems that all three of these imply hearts and diamonds; the question is what you would expect in terms of strength and shape for each sequence.

First shows 5-5.

The second shows 6-4 or 6-5.

The third shows 6-4 but more HCP (not sure this exists here, but there are similar auctions).

I don't know what 2NT shows here. I thought it would show tricks, which would make this auction impossible. If you are saying that 2NT is takeout, perhaps it shows a 0-6-5-2.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

Some are so redundant that psych is more wrenching - more payoff.

(1♠) - 2♥ - (Pass) - Pass - (2♠) - 3♦ = lead D
(1♠) - 2♥ - (Pass) - Pass - (2♠) - Dbl, removing a 3♣ advance from partner to 3♦ = I doenst bother me to play 2S dbled.
(1♠) - 2♥ - (Pass) - Pass - (2♠) - 2NT, removing a 3♣ advance from partner to 3♦ = lead H
From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

After 2H, reopen 2NT for me is clubs, so conversion to 3D is not now diamonds but rather strong with shortness in diamonds.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

Most people here (where I live) like split range Michaels so 2nd is the middle range for them.
I think 3rd would be interpreted as very strong 6-4 hand and 4th would be interpreted as not so strong 6-4 hand which wanted to compete nevertheless.

I expect it to be almost universal understanding among Polish players who think about those things. I am not a fan of it (I think always overcalling with a 2 suiter bid showing two suits is better if we have given suits) but that's how things are here.

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
