I would need a telescope to read the hand diagram.

Even though we don't like the graphics, it is fairly easy to see that 3NT played by both N/S and by E/W minus 500 each for 14 IMPS is strange. E/W weren't doubled and peacefully went down five.

Actually they doubled in both hands
In open room the bidding went
1NT,-,-,2♥,-,3NT,X
South has 6 club tricks solid and assumes North has 3 Aces or Ace and AK in one suit- that would be the only way it makes- of course North has nothing like that- not one ace. Not playing on the same page there!
In closed room, the bidding went
1C,-,1NT,-,2NT,-,3NT,X
and the 1C has 15 HCP and his partner 6HCP- are they playing with the same convention card?
Yet the rest of the hands are normal and sometimes good- nothing too terrible so it cant be that they are bad bidders.
