Series of 5 (maybe more as I review them in more detail) hands from a KO team match tonight (R.O.I juniors vs. N.I juniors). I'll be posting the state of the match even if it may not be relevant (incase it does affect you)

Board 6/32, you're up 14 imps at this point
Maybe not the best 2C opener ever, what do you bid now?

3N, bidding anything else seems pretty bad to me. Even if 3S was a punt, we don't have that, we have a minimum misfit that probably just wants to play 3N unless partner can move.

Agree with 2C btw.

Yes, 3N. I would not have opened 2, but my minor-based 2 openers are rocks.

I count 9 1/2 playing tricks, so it's a 2 opener for me.
3NT seems clear. You have shown your hand, and if partner has enough to explore slam then it's on him to go on.

I dislike opening this hand 2C as I doubt opening 1D will see the hand passed out. 2C robs too much space. What sort of hand you would expect partner to bid 3H with is the issue for me, another reason not to open 2C. Problem with bidding 3N now is we may go down and be cold for a C slam. What would we hear from partner holding xxx Kxxx x Kxxxx? Now that I am in this mess I have to guess whats next. If I was able to bid 3S and not have 4S I would opt for that bid as no fear of a raise. This should be a great point of discussion for the pair in the pub.

I might have opened 2 and don't have strong feelings about 1 Vs 2.
I would just bid 3N now, the most probable game.
To explore game/slam in I should have chosen the 1 option.

I would not have opened this 2 since this exact auction is expected. Having opened it 2 I'd bid 3N.

Totally obvious 2 opener for me, and totally obvious 3NT bid now. Bridge is an easy game!

Yeah, the question in mind is "next round, what are you bidding after 4H?"

I'll get my LOL mask on now. I bid 3N and partner passed!

We both agreed right after that partner had to do something (ideally 4C). Anyway, we gained 2 imps (making +4) when the other table stopped in 5C making +2
