the bidding looks correct at any other vulnerability, at this vulnerability both are close to do something else, I might duplicate the auction but knowing partner is an agressive passer or a sound double I might act otherwise.

I don't understand north's double. These doubles normally show balanced hands and are optional, not takeout. A singleton is possible, but a void no way. I prefer either 3 or 4 to double.
