i bring your attention to an article in Sunday Times 27june by Jonathan Leake (environment editor) .. regarding changes to the 1976 Dangerous Wild Animals Act by Elliot Morley (Minister for the Environment) specially introduced for your birthday..

'..Sloths and porcupines are to be accorded the same status as cats and dogs in a review of legislation on dangerous animals. For years, ownership of such species has only been possible under licence in the UK because they were considered a risk to humans (sloths have sharp claws!) ..
