Use of RKC in this auction implies a lot of tricks by the initiator almost certainly in the form of a very long ♣suit so attempt to cash the ♥A

I cash it also. At MP possibly we may not get it if we don't cash it, but I also think it is the best chance to set. Opener likely has running ♣ to go with his ♠ support.

Yes. We might beat it (doubtful), but it will certainly stop the overtrick.

Yes, opener can have running clubs. Ace it before it runs away.

yes...tks, I was the beneficiary of the DJ lead and took my 13. Just thought the B/I forum would be a good place for a simple instructional hand.

Agreed and for the benefit of B/I can you show us the monster hand you held that was good enough to launch directly into RKC and then bid a slam opposite 1 key card.

Without the jack of hearts you might consider a (fast) low heart lead. Maybe.
With the jack there's no point, as declarer can't have a heart guess.

I do not usually bang down an ace but I highly doubt that leading the AH will cost the slam. Should declarer happen to have a 2 way guess for the Q trumps maybe he'll play me for it. As I was going to be on lead I should have dbled 5D to confuse the issue :rolleyes:
