Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

Maybe I'm out to lunch but I don't like the initial double. Looks to me that the most likely scenario is 2H and 2NT both going down 1 or 2 times. However, this is a very pleasant continuation, now we can just keep on doubling, at the very worst we should get 300 out of their 3 level contract.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

3NT should be making here with partner having a long club suit.

Partner does not have much as players who bid 2 on this hand generally do not psyche. So he rates to have 0 4+ 5+. It is time to break out the vest, boots, and whip to start punishing the bad boys :)

Partner probably has four spades and five clubs, and is broke since he didn't think we could make 2NT.

I think at matchpoints we must double this, at IMPs I would have chickened out.

Btw I would have passed instead of doubled originally, unless and immediate 2NT is natural.

I wouldn't have doubled with this, but its worked out pretty well.

Its a good thing that you've been able to show a powerhouse with 2N, since all subsequent doubles should bar partner.

I would feel less comfortable if the auction would have continued:

1 - pass - 2 - dbl
pass - 2 - 3 - ?

could you blame partner for pulling to 3 on a yarb, 5 spades and a void?

I think pard has 4 5 0 on the opp bidding and therefore 4.

I double this and if the opps run back into I also double that.

If PD has more black cards..ie a real distributional yarb, nothing prevents him from pulling.
