Hi all
There is a potential problem but I don' t now if and how it
can be solved. Normally, when I choose a table to sit,
I don't sit in the first empty place available but I check who is
my future partner and opponents. So, in a sense
I choose my partner.
However, when I am already sitting at a table without
a partner, I have no say concerning my future partner
unless I am the table owner. Under the current system,
it is the table owner who gives/denies permission to
sit at the table. This may be reasonable, but it
may end up in an unreasonable situation, i.e. to force
me to accept a partner I would never choose.
I wonder if it is a) sensible and feasible to allow
to the future partner a say in such cases.

I've suggested this feature at least twice already. I presume Uday and Fred will get to it eventually.

Nikos - if you once again want to play at my table I will just be happy if you will be interested to find your partner yourself. We will all benefit from that and it is very annoying to me that I always search for partner myself but need to accept to play against opps. as casual partnerships only. Often it works but a clear disadvantage for me is that I can have no realistic aspirations to play opps. to pairs playing same kind of bridge as I prefer. I need to register for special tournaments for such.
In reality I think it will be difficult to do things in other ways than today. During last 2 years I think I only twice have been lucky to have an established - or something like that - partnership as opponents.
