Pass. 1 is forcing. Depending on the trouble they get themselves into, I'll decide what to do next round...

Pass is not an option.

Stuck on the phone and could not elaborate. Now back...

You can't pass here. The auctiuon could easily die at 1 if Opener made a psychic opening, or partner may be forced into a ridiculous "what to do" with a 0-count. That's no good.

If you did not have a 19-count with a rock offensively, you'd overcall 2. Why would you pass simply because your hand is too good to be expected? That's weird.

Just double like a sane person and bid spades later at whatever level makes contextual sense based on what happens next.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

4, no reason to let them find their minor suit fit.
"Are you saying that LTC merits a more respectful dismissal?"

I do too, but I'm not sure when the appropriate time to bid it is... Maybe it's immeadiately, but maybe it's delayed? Like I said in the other thread, I play 1 - 4 as natural, but I think the thoery is changed here... Thoughts?

I think that here there is more point in 4 being natural. Assuming 5 card major openings, you generally don't want to play in a suit that is 5-0 but 4-1 makes sense on a lot more hands. This is of course assuming no psyches...

I chose to pass and wait for developments and it continued

1♥ - P - 1♠ - P
2 - P - P -

I bid 4 now, but what would 3 mean? Does it ask for a stopper expecting something like this?

Partner had A and nothing else. With little help from defence 4 made but 3NT would have been a better contract.

Oh and everybody had their bid... B)

Yeah, this one is obviously natural. I would bid this without discussion.

Bid spades now. If I Dbl and then bid spades, the auction gets complicated for no reason and it will be impossible to convey this hand to partner later.
