Truly, first response I had this morning when I heard was: "I want to hear Ozzy do The Masochism Tango". Or (because I hate anyone who isn't Brummie (*)) "Lobachevsky".

Or, you know, Tom Lehrer doing "Bark at the Moon"...

(*)Note that includes me. I have enough trouble with my Geordie (actually Mackem, but nobody in ROW understands the difference) relatives, and I've had years of practise.

We also lost Cleo Laine, now her bark at the moon ...

Oh My, Yes. I'd have loved to hear that.

(other nasty thing that popped into my head on the way home yesterday: Ozzy doing "The Elements".)

Ken Berg died on July 25, 2025, at the age of 86, after having suffered from cancer for about two years if I remember correctly.

Ken was very much liked by (I think I can speak for all of us) those of us who have been around on BBF for more than a couple of years. Lately, Ken was primarily active in the Water Cooler where he would write with humour and passion about American Society, often with a very personal perspective illustrated with many anecdotes from his long life. I got the privilege to play with him a few times so I can say that he was also a very pleasant bridge partner.

Our thoughts go to his wife Becky, whom we also know a little bit because Ken would sometimes tell us about her views on various topics being discussed in the Water Cooler.

BBF is not quite the same without Ken. He will be dearly missed.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket
