Hello, everyone! I am pleased to announce that BBO Advanced is now available in a Subversion repository. Subversion is a so-called "Revision Control System", which means that it will keep a history of who made which changes when, allows people to check out the latest version, and provides a mechanism for resolving conflicts if two people submit modifications to the same part of the system.
I would be very happy to provide similar facilities for any other (more or less) standard system, just drop me a line.
You can access the repository at http://bridge.mgoetze.net/fd/listing.php?r...vanced&path=%2F - let me know if there is any interest in anonymous access via svnserve, and I'll set that up too. If you want to help out, please contact Arend (cherdano) or me. Regular contributors can get ssh accounts so they can check in their changes directly. If all these technical details sound confusing, don't be discouraged, I'll gladly walk you through the steps.
For more information on Subversion, see http://subversion.tigris.org/ .

Note in particular that at the above address, you can always download the newest version (the file used on BBO doesn't get updated as often). Various fixes have been incorporated, most recently I changed opening leads from literal 3/5 to 3rd and low.

Intersting appoach. I assume the "official" one will remain the one loaded on the BBO server, but since Arend is working on that, this is probably a minor point. I doubt there will daily or weekly updates the official versions, but to have a place where systems can be hashed out and tracked is an interesting idea.
