Lucky you to have ‘´simple’´ deals. I had 3 squeezes today and several bad breaks that I managed to survive, an uppercut to organize and only 25th national with 67%. Partner took all her tricks as well. On defense we gave a trick on 2 occasions.

Anyway for this one, playing traditional weak 2, the systemic call is pass (really weak suit, long side minor). Maybe with a S void it would be more tempting to act. If playing a more agressive style it is a why you ask such a question, you are not even red and not even 2nd hand to speak… but I do not think we should bid 3.

The nice question would be you play multi and 2M for 5M and 4+m. What do you choose…

It's 4H or pass for me. Probably pass on this one.

With 6-5 hands, partner with a minimum opener and some support is going to misjudge their hands over a preempt. If you're going to bid, you should bid up to reduce partner's opportunity to misjudge. Bidding 2H is almost always going to be wrong. Either partner will have some sort of fit for one of your suits and you will make 4, or partner won't have any fits and you'll go down in 2.

"A pre-empt that is predictably weak is a blunt sword" (Reese). Not sure if he meant that to extend to "predictably sound" too, or if he was simply too good a theorist to consider the second possibility

FWIW I think Double is an LA, but not a good one.
