I usually play for 3 hours with friends. After each hour, we switch partners. Prior to the free Premium trial period, when the table host left the table at the end of the hour, the "Create a table" dialog box was still filled in. To change partners, one just had to switch the names in two seats. When the Premium trial started, this convenience disappeared. Now, when the table host leaves the table, the "Create a table" box is reinitialized so that the entire box has to be filled in each time. Can the software be changed back to the old way, where the "Create a table" box is not reinitialized each time the table host leaves the table? It would certainly save time.

I don't think it has ever worked the way you describe. When the host leaves, one of the other players immediately becomes the host. No "Create a table" dialogue is shown.

The only thing that's changing since the introduction of membership tiers is how it decides which player to make the new host. It used to use the order that users joined the table. Now, if the table was created by a Premium user, it will only select another Premium user.

Thanks for your reply. Perhaps the experience I described in my initial post was an unintended consequence of the old software, but it definitely did happen. Here is a little more detail of how it worked. 3 friends and I logged in to BBO. I clicked "Casual" and "Start a table". I filled out the "Create a table" dialog and sent the invitations. We played for an hour, then all of us left the table to switch partners. My 3 friends returned to the BBO home screen, but I returned to the "Create a table" dialog (my previous screen before starting the table), which was still filled out exactly as it was when I started the previous table. After switching the seats of 2 players, I started another table and we played for another hour with the new partners. It worked like this for more than 6 years, until 8/17/2026 when the free premium trial started. Now, when we all leave the table, I still return to the "Create a table" dialog, but it is initialized to the blank defaults, so I have to reenter the entire dialog before starting a new table.

I was just wondering if the software could "remember" my previous "Create a table" selections, so that I wouldn't have to reenter them all.

They don't need to leave the table to switch partners, they just need to leave their seats. You do this by clicking on your seat, it will ask if you really want to leave your seat. When you do this you become a kibitzer at the table. After all 3 other players leave their seats they can each click on a seat to ask for permission to sit there.
