Partner opens 1H with:
A8
AJ10952
KQ96
2
My RH opponent overcalls 2C.
I have:
K1097653
64
5
A94
I doubled on the basis that I have less than 10 points but do want to compete.
My LH opponent bids 3C.
Partner bid 3D.
I bid 3S.
Partner bid 4H.
I regularly mess up hands with a long suit like this and would appreciate guidance on how I should have bid.
Tks

Well, you have 10 Goren points, which was what counted when that "10" was promulgated.

I think you need to show your semi-self-sustaining suit.
X then would suggest something stronger so I'm tempted by a direct 4

Such posts are best made on a PC, where you have the hand diagram tool available (the rectangle with spades/Canadian flag at the end of the control bar).
