With new version of GIBBO I wonder:
- Changes are made to GIBBO, so the details of GIBBO are known by the developer? It is known how GIBBO plays; or is this assumption not correct?
- I wonder how GIBBO is playing on trick 1? Is it 4th best lead and high encourages? (that is behavior that I think seeing)
- Is GIBBO giving parity (high low even) most of the time in next tricks?
- Any plans to add more signaling to GIBBO (That seems to be the worst part of GIBBO)
(I had another post about this that seems to be deleted, I hope this question is not violating the rules)

yes, i remember your question.

we didn't change lead and carding conventions in GIBBO, they should be the same as in GIB.
as people like to know more about what they are exactly, we'll make a more detailed convention card.

Thanks.
It is about time the System Notes were updated and corrected too.

Tx; Do you have access to all the code and do you know all the details about how GIB plays; if it uses any signaling of parity..?

I'm disappointed that there is no reply by BBO Support

Lorand gathered this information, and we'll update the GIB system notes with it shortly.

In broad terms, GIB leads 4th best and uses standard carding (high-low = even). It plays very limited attitude: only at trick 1, and only for AK, or Q after dummy's A or K. It does not use suit-preference signals.

GIB does take partner's signals into account when inferring what partner might hold, but that does not mean it will automatically return the suit.
