Should I have doubled 5C or earlier? I was embarrassed not to double a contract which went down so much.

Please guide me on the factors to diagonise a double here.

Thanks.

Hi,

the first double is fine, so is the next pass.
Should you double 5C playing with bots? I sometimes do, the result quite often being,
that I end up playing at the 5 level, down a lot.

If you play with a human, you should / could double 5C, i would, playing IMPs,
overtricks are out, and the risk of making = vs. getting -2X is worth it for me.

With kind regards

a) not sure why the robot is bidding 3
b) 3 quick tricks so I have to X 5

I could see some people doubling 3 to show a stronger take out of 1, I wouldn't do it on this hand, need more I'd say.

Doubling 5 after passing 3, sure you just don't belief they have enough tricks outside of to make it even though it is remotely possible they actually do.
