Well you found the best lead but East's play was illogical. I don't understand why it refused to take a second finesse after the first one succeeded. As it happens itis likely East will go two down if they try to make the contract by taking another finesse, so it should be a common result if the majority get the same auction and find a club lead. If South doesn't lead a club 3NT makes by playing on spades after establishing four diamond tricks.
