Playing as a substitute in a local Australian tournament.
Agreements are 2/1 1430 and that's about it.
Partner opens 2 and while you're trying to decide which major to bid, ops bid 2.
Now what?
Provide diagrams and reasons.

Assuming a standard?
X penalties
2NT feature ask because it's s
3X constructive NF
3D pre-emptive
and playing fairly disciplined Weak2s;
it's a toss up between X, 2NT and 3

Opener is likely to be 1363 or 1264 with honours.

This may sound a bit off the wall, but the opponents probably have a 9 card club fit. It won't be easy for us to make a lot of tricks in hearts, and I don't want them running to clubs, so I'm passing.

I considered 3 spades but have no idea so I passed.
Is 2NT still on after interference? - and if so what options are there for a response

EDIT I was reading about what 2S means over 2D and I think that bid is misleading :)
Pass followed by calling the director later

I'm inclined to pass. Partner has shown a six card suit in which I am void and opponents have overcalled in my six card suit which is better than theirs. Screams misfit, let the opponents play the misfit hands.

Partner is likely to have some clubs. Opening 2 with something like 6-4 in the minors is very effective, simply because if you pass the opponents can easily locate their major suit fit. I would not be surprised at all to learn that the total tricks on this deal equals either 15 or 16 (for example, if partner has 1=2=6=4), and I'm not competing at the 3-level without a safe haven. Thankfully I play disciplined and aggressive weak two's, so game is very unlikely to make. An easy pass for me.

Depends what your weak 2s look like, void, Q10x, AKxxxx, xxxx looks pretty good for 4 in my eyes and on the normal spade lead has no need for K.

If I double 2 and then run to 3 if they bid 3, this is a decent picture of my hand but may not be the optimal result, of course if partner doubles 3 which is not impossible, I'm not unhappy.

It is for me too, but many play 6-10 and sound 1s so this would be 2.

I have a lot of black suit losers plus potential heart losers and it is pretty well established we don’t belong in game unless partner holds 4 hearts. I think pass is right as lho may not have enough to introduce clubs at the 3 level.
