I am not sure there is much point any of us hanging onto our flags these days
EDIT for those who need further explanation it is clear none of our so-called independent countries have any say over anything anymore. We all bow to the great superpower that we used to once respect. But. No I will say no more. I do not want to upset Greenlanders. In terms of global security they could not be much further away from where I am sitting. But I care more about upsetting Greenlanders than I do the USA these days

Maybe all of them already do this? I wouldn't know.
What is the statistical chance of us encountering a member from Greenland at a table here?
My guess is on average nobody will have the experience in a life time.
Ok maybe that's an exaggeration? Can we have a statistician calculate it?
The chance of selecting a Greenlander at random out of the entire world population is about 0,00068%, roughly the same chance as randomly dealing a 6-6-1-0 two suiter.

They're not, because it's not currently an option in our Country menu. I think that was the point of the original suggestion.
I think our policy is that we only list nations. But Greenland is not a nation, it's a territory of Denmark. While they may have a flag of their own, so do all the US states.
There are some cases that are politically controversial, like Taiwan and Palestine. We're liberal and include them, even though China and Israel don't recognize them. But there's little dispute over whether Greenland should be considered an independent nation.
I take the original proposal as a way to show solidarity with Greenland in response to the overtures Trump has been making. While this is understandable, I don't think it's a reason to change this policy.

I don't mind flag being selectable or not.
That statement though is flat out false.
There is almost zero dispute the status of Greenland is and should be decided by Greenlanders.
And although it might change some day, the current view of Greenlanders about the preferred status is being one of three nations in the Kingdom of Denmark with a level of autonomy. So NOT an independent nation at all.

Færeyjar(Faroe Islands) is part of the same Kingdom of Denmark...players from that territory can play with their flag in their profiles.

They even run an international f2f bridge tournament too.
But they were ruled by UK during the last world war and if US can take Greenland who knows.

If that's the case, they should have the same status as the 4 nations in the United Kingdom (of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).
So, if you can play from "England" or "Wales", you should be able to play from Greenland. And if you can't play from Scotland (as opposed to the U.K.), I'm reasonably certain there would have been riots by now...
