Double button not working?

I’ve been playing solitaire 4 games and really enjoying the practice. However, there have been numerous games where I’ve wanted to bid a double. The explanation of what the bid means appears, but it does not let me place the bid. It seems like the double button/functionality is not working.
Is this just me, or is anyone else having similar issues?

Known problem on the iPad.
