Dealer S teams, our opps played in 5♦ losing a couple of imps to 3N.

How do you play 6 or 7 diamonds on a club lead ?

Our auction would be:

1♥-1♠
3♦(2 good 5+ card suits, not a truly huge hand)-4♦(suit setting)
4♥(aces)-5♦(2+)
5N(this is a try to find something you couldn't otherwise ask for which in this case must be a third round heart control as other things can be)-7♦

In 6♦ I would win ♣K, cross to ♠A, lead a ♥ to ♥A, cross to ♦J and lead a ♥ to ♥K, intending to find out how ♥s break, before finishing trumps. If the red suits break badly, with luck the defender, long in trumps, will be ruffing.
