Sorry - unfortunately this is a lot easier said than done given the way the BBO client program displays chat. I may try to figure out a way to do this when I am bored, but I suspect there is no easy solution.

Good news is some other very nice features that people have been requesting will be introduced in the next version of BBO (coming soon). I would tell you what to expect, but I am sure you all prefer to be surprised

And if you're REALLY bored someday, would it be possible to clear the chat window with a click?

Some time in the distant past I was bored enough to implement that.

Try hitting the F6 key.

With all the foreign languages spoken on BBO, the ability to copy from chat would be VERY useful, becasue then we could copy and paste into a translator without having to type the whole phrase in, and be able to respond in time. So what can we all do to bore Fred to the extent that he'll implement this for us?

Give him 28 hours a day <_< And while we are at it: I could do with 27½ myself. Then I will get at least 2½ hours of sleep.
