double is for takeout possibly minor importance

Well yea maybe 4♥ was awful but once I bid 4♥ and then X, partner should pull it to 5♥ when he has no defence and a 4-card fit. The alert does say takeout with 7+♥ and 4+♦, that would mean he knows of at least 11 hearts and 8 diamonds (I don't agree with the 4+♦ restriction but OK). Anyway, I doubled so many times at such high levels when I thought double couldn't possibly be takeout and GIB almost always pulls it, now it was finally his time to shine and he failed me :-(


... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.
