Playing MP I held A, AKQx, AKQJxxx, x and had a 3S opener on my left, P, P to me. I looked for an explanation of a 4NT call by me, and nothing came up. Tried the call anyway, all pass of course. I guess if there is no Blackwood I have to just bid 6D but would seem silly if partner had the CA and I didn't look for it.

Postscript after checking the results: One player jumped to 6NT with my hand. The bot on lead with the AK of clubs led a Spade!!!!!!!!! Perhaps I should suck it up and start trying to find a live partner.

one of the bizarre aspects is that 3S pre-emptor had C:AK
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"Gentlemen, when the barrage lifts." 9th battalion, King's own Yorkshire light infantry,
2000 years earlier: "morituri te salutant"

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

I think 4♠ by you is any strong two-suited hand. I could never figure out the continuations though. GIB would bid something like 5♣ with the explanation saying "forced" and then you're again at a loss whether to bid 6 or correct or pass or what.

PPS: I have now seen another hand where the bot doubled 7NT holding the SA on lead - and led something else.
