i HAVE NO INTEREST IN MAKING THIS A PUBLIC POLL MY INTENT IS TO
MAKE SURE THAT ALL POSTERS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPRESS
THEIR INTEREST IN PLAYING BUT TO DO SO IN THE RIGHT PLACE
BBO FORUM EVENTS (MY APOLOGIES ONCE AGAIN FOR THIS OUT OF
PLACE POSTING i WILL REMOVE IT IN A FEW DAYS (AT LEAST I HOPE I CAN).
AS OF THIS POSTING THERE ARE INSUFFICIENT VOLUNTEERS TO PLAY
THIS SAT TOMORROW AFTERNOON 2PM EST) A QUICK REPLY BY ANYONE
INTERESTED WILL BE A BIG HELP. ITS A CHANCE TO PLAY THE BEST OF THE
BEST AND TO TRY OUT YOUR THEORIES AGAINST A LIVE OPPONENT.
forgive the caps lock I am trying to make the point that this great opportunity may bypass
posters due to apparent lack of interest. I hope this is not the case please show some
interest and at worst show up and post WHEN you would be interested in playing in case
it is possible to rearrange the scheduling of the event.

YES! This might be my last week to play JEC on a Saturday, so let's go.

I don't know what event is being referenced with this post...well, poll makes it seem like there is an open call to play in a JEC match, but I had no idea (if that's even the case).

bbo forum events look for posts referring to playing JEC however it is possible Mgoetze has cancelled all
events until beginning of sept and all of this may be moot for now

Just saying that I expect there would be interest from forum posters in playing in a JEC match. I imagine the reason that there doesn't appear to be is that people don't know about the opportunity because they don't read the "Events" subforum.
Maybe now they do....

I suspect there are a lot of folks whose regular partners are not necessarily forum regulars. And a lot of us aren't that eager to play against a world-class team in a pickup partnership with someone else from the forums.

that has never been a problem we welcome posters to bring their favorite p along. but
if your favorite partner(s) cant make it at least consider matching up with another poster
if one is looking for a partner (unless you find their posting idea diametrically opposed to
your onw--noone should have to suffer that many boards that way)

posters due to apparent lack of interest.
I'm sure using caps lock in voting options gets that message across...

How about this:
If anyone is interested in playing in a teams match against Jimmy Cayne (JEC) and his team then please consider going to this thread and registering your interest. These matches are open to forum regulars and their partners. Partners do not need to use the forums. Further information about individual matches (a match is available most weekends) can be obtained in the Forum Events forum.
