Why not? :) Another day South has 6 spades to AQJ and the singleton D6 instead.

Do you mean East shouldn't have doubled? I think that bid can (and should) be made even with a weak hand.

Yes- its short on quick tricks- needs one more ace if you consider wanting to play an overcall doubled as one option.
