Maybe their judgement will improve as they get older?

Or maybe they're expecting a different hand? In my world, xx Qxxx Kxx Jxxx would be a typical double of 2. I don't rate our defensive chances very highly opposite that.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

This is a WTP 3 and its a clear upgrade out of 1N.

Calls like 3N and pass are reckless.

:P Just curious. If pard's double is negative, how do we ever play 2 (or the runout) doubled for penalties? If it goes pass by pard and pass on my right, what do I need for a balancing double? What kind of hand calls for a pass or bidding something else?

I bid 3D only when this bid shows extra.

Seems like an easy 3, though I confess I feel like passing lol.

Ok guys, thanks. I've learnt something today. I am in 3D camp now.
I bid 3N, people wanted to bid various thing which pass being considered serious option.
3N was down one (it would be final contract after 3D too), 2S went for 800.
