versions of GIBs out there.

3♦ wouldnt be my first choice for a bid

That's a surprising result but my guess is that it isn't a bug. I think the simulations that GIB is running is probably pushing it towards diamonds due to the lack of a double from south somewhat limiting the hearts in his hand a lot of the time.

i did put into dealmaster pro and did the trick analysis

What limits did you put for passed partner's hand?

i just put in what I thought would not be an overcall of ♥♦♣'s
or any hand suitable of a take out double....so that could still be a hand with 3-4♠
but I one could also just put in that either hand S or W have points split between them with
west having 0-2 ♠

or if you prefer tell me what you would want for south, they can be either or options?
