We are hoping to play some ACBL tourneys online.

We play 2M as weak 6 cards but sometimes 5 NV and occasionally 5 Vul.

We might open 2H green on any of:
x QJ9xxx xxx xxx
x KQJxx xxxx xxx or even rarely at Fav:
xx KQJT9 xxx xxx

We open 2H on these because our judgement (rightly or wrongly) is that they are all worth a weak two.

Is this legal? If we open 2H on example two will be thrown out for opening an illegal Muideberg?

All I know is that if you think the hand with 1-5-4-3 and a good heart suit looks like a wk 2 to you, the fact that you accidentally have a side xxxx doesn't make it illegal. Certain bids are illegal agreements, but if you don't guarantee a second suit, the only issue is whether you can call it a weak two.

I don't know about the 3-count, though...if your stated range is 5-11. The directors on this forum will answer that one.

It depends on the upper limit of the weak two. A range of 3-6 or 3-8 HCP, or even 3-9, would present no problem, legally. But if your range is greater than 7 HCP (3-10 or more) then you can't play any conventional responses or rebids after it, nor may you have a conventional defense to your opponents' conventional defense to your opening.

IMO you aren't playing Muiderburg, so you shouldn't get in trouble on the grounds that you are playing it.

I don't know anything specific about ACBL regulations, but if they are a little bit logical (I know, I'm sticking my neck out here) then you aren't playing Muiderberg. Muiderberg promisses a side 4 card minor, your 2 opening does not. I'm also pretty sure that 2-3 is not P/C in your partnership. So imo it depends on whether weak twos on a 5 card suit are allowed or not.
