I will probably try 5H now along the way towards 6C.

On the bidding the king is a great card isn't it?

I would bid on, but not so much because I think we can make anything, but because 5 could make, unless partner finds a lead. Why should he? Anyway a mystery where are all the ? Probably 4-4-5 round the table. West might be void in .
I bid 5.
Partner should always correct with a singleton . If I wanted to play opposite a singleton I would not have bid 5.
Nevertheless if 5 gets doubled I will take no chances and bid 6.
If I double 6 he may deduce that I have a void in . If not he will at least lead a .

I have to be honest, I have no idea what is going on on this board. Feels like partner would raise to 4s mostly with Hx spade, so if he has two spades then we still have a spade loser. If he has one spade he is probably 1-4-2-6 I think. He cannot be 5-5 or 6-5 or would have bid unusual.

So I doubt that 6c can be made. If partner does have 2 spades and a stiff diamond it might easily be right to try 5!s here. Also covers for when partner has been a monkey. However it might play significantly worse than 6c which probably always has 11 tricks.

However the problem with this reasonable analysis is that west cannot have longer hearts than diamonds, and east must have 4 diamonds so that would make west 4-5 and east 5-4. In this case rho has been absurd not to offer hearts over 4c.

So given that I have no idea I might just bid 6c and take my hundred. Do not mind dble in these situations either really, as clearly someone has bid badly.
