I wasn't sure 5m is a cue here. I know it is if we are a passed hand like P 4 4 P ?

I think if we had 8 clubs or w/e we have to overcall 5C or pass forever. Apparantly I'm wrong because nobody is bidding 5D lol.

Can backfire, but I'd definitely make some slam try. Cue of diamonds or hearts, depending on the system.

Playing transfer advances it's even funnier:

.....5 (shows diamonds or diam cue + spade fit)
5 5 (heart cue, surely shows a spade fit now)

and it's up to pard now.

I like 5 because it shows A otherwise a hand that passed couldn't ever be good enough to bid and pass before, and lets partner judge great. He can't go very wrong on our hand after 5.

Last summer in San Remo my partner had KQJ-8th of diamonds and out. He passed over 4H and passed again when I balanced with 5C, thinking that I would take 5D as a cue. Needless to say, we missed the making game. I think both meanings make sense.

On this hand partner has AKxxxx K xx AKxx. The club is onside, it is not clear to me if you will get to 7S after 5H.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

he can picture us with Qxx Ax A at least, even if he is not sure he can bid 5NT blackwood to find out, grand is over 50%, but here it soudns like one of those grands where you really need 70%+ so its close.

We could have something like Qxxxx - AKJxx xxx? Or would that hand act immediately? Give the pass perhaps it is not possible that we have a slam try with a heart void?

We didn't have agreements about 5NT being blackwood, and I'm not sure it would have helped.

like I said before, passing then inviting with heart control must be based on A nothing else makes sense to me, with heart void we would had acted inmediatelly.

what hand for singleton josh? If we couldn't act before it seems like we don't have 5 level safety or anything close, maybe you can picture a hand or 2, but picturing hands with Ax(x) is just much easier and likelly IMO.

If you 3 keep saying the contrary I will start thinking I am just biased b the actual hand again.

I agree ace is most likely but you said it must be, I'm saying a singleton is possible. Qxxxx x AKxxx xx (if 5 might not be a cuebid)?

The only difference is this part occured before what I said, your comment that you quoted occured after what I said. But I admit I did not try to predict what you would say in the future when I made my comment, you got me on that.
