I have to say the lyrics were a lot better in older rock:

You got a lotta nerve
To say you are my friend
When I was down
You just stood there grinning

You got a lotta nerve
To say you got a helping hand to lend
You just want to be on
The side that's winning

I wish that for just one time
You could stand inside my shoes
And just for that one moment
I could be you

Yes, I wish that for just one time
You could stand inside my shoes
You'd know what a drag it is
To see you
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

She was common, flirty, she looked about thirty, I would have run away but I was on my own, she told me later she's machine operator, she said she liked the way I held the microphone, I said my, my, like a spider to a fly, jumped straight ahead in my web

A no, no, no

The Holy Modal Rouders weren't on vinyl - they were on a really thin wafer you had to swallow. :(

No fair picking out Dylan to support the premise; there were also some reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaalllllllly crappy lyrics back in the day.

Truth

at 16 and going to college....REO was the huge band in my area......and cheap Trick.....

They played at my frat and wtf

I mean I had to learn the play Camolot to obscene lyrics

btw....guys like Chip Martel were God who taught me some game called bridge.
others....KIM, Allen, Cheri(wc)

With all that said I remember a local band called the "Guild" who were much better than reo or chip trick to those days.

As for Dylan;.....ya I have heard of him....not sure bbo has. .. I Mean can anyone on bbo know even know one of his songs.
