R/W, bidding goes:

1 Pa 2 3
3 ???

What bid would you make? What are your aspirations with it? What continuations do you foresee?

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

I think I chicken out. If p doubles 3 I try 3NT.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

Pass.

If they bid 4H, I will give it a try and go for blood.

Pass. My aspiration is to make the killing lead on defense.

If the colours were W/R, then I'd have trouble seeing 3NT as scoring better than 3X. In R/W, it's possible, but given that partner didn't start with X it seems like a longshot. Defense seems the safest road to a plus from where I sit.

If partner bids on without encouragement from me, then so be it.

If I wind up defending, is the T always going to be the right lead? Or should I start with the A, in case dummy has a short suit?
Still decidedly intermediate - don't take my guesses as authoritative.

I'm tempted to bid 3NT and take partner's unfavorable 3C bid seriously. This depends a bit on partnership style, how light will partner bid in direct seat when short in hearts. Form of scoring is also relevant as I will bid 3C more aggressively at matchpoints.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

I'd bid 3NT and expect to make it?

Pass if partner was born after 1980. Otherwise 3NT.

3NT. Don't need more than Axx x Txx AKxxxx or similar to make.
Kind regards,
Harald
