clever defense avoid the trap ?

Scoring: IMP


1Nt weak by south all pass.

Not exactly what happened, but what should have happened and wondering if there is a way to avoid the trap.

low spade to the K and A

9D,T,J,K,
3 round of S
discarded a H from dummy and a D from my hand West discarded a discouraging H.

Return of the Q of D winning on dummy. Cash the K of H and run the 9 of club losing to west T returning a 3rd D :(

Now instead of cashing the D (squeezing myself) discarding a club and low C to the K endplaying W.
ive played low club to the K. Losing 3S,1D,3C for down 1

I think you played it normally up until the ♦Q was returned and from there you've got to take a view. I don't see a 100% single-dummy line from there. Your line is 100% if W had started with a doubleton ♦ (which seems likely from the ♦Q return.) I'd chalk this one up to good defense (and a lucky lead from a marginally weaker ♠ suit instead of a marginally stronger ♥ suit.)

i made a mistake in the post the ending is cashing a D and discarding the HJ or discarding a club keeping a stiff K.

and west probably had the spade 8.
