Favorable, IMPs
♠AJx
♥Ax
♦Qxxxx
♣Jxx
The bidding:
1NT*-(Dbl)-2♠*-(Dbl)
3♣*-(Dbl)-3♥*-(3♠)
5♦-(5♠)-pass-(pass)
???
1NT: 10-12
2♠: 6+♣ or 5-5 or better red suits (3♣ here by responder would be to play)
3♣: club fit, doesn't promise a red suit fit
3♥: 6-5 or better red suits (either longer)

Careful with bumping threads. In some foruns that's a no-no.
Anyway, this seems to be a huge double fit deal, so I'll take insurance and bid 6♦.

What strength has partner shown?
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

In theory any strength. This was never a forcing auction for our side. He didn't have to bid 3♥; it's not like 3♦ would have denied a 6-5 hand or anything.

Then why didn't I bid 4♠ on the previous round? I have a complete maximum, five-card support, and two aces.

To clear things up, I was 100% sure it was their hand and that we would either be sacrificing or defending. Would you still bid 4♠? Even if you did that I think they would double, you'd bid 5♦ and the auction would continue as stated.
